Parador Guánica 1929 is located in a harbor surrounded by the towns of Ensenada, Guánica and María Antonia. The nearby towns provides more than their fair share of entertainment, with events as wide-ranging as the Fish Festival, the 25 July Parade, the Juan Ponce de Leon Celebration and a variety of other fun things to do in Puerto Rico.

Bosque Estatal de Guánica (Guanica Dry Forest)

This 9,800-plus acre forest reserve contains a wide variety of flora and fauna and is considered Puerto Rico’s top destination for outdoor activities such as hiking or water sports. Twenty miles of hiking trails overlooking the Caribbean lie just a short distance east of our hotel in the world’s last remaining section of tropical dry coastal forest.

Guánica Lighthouse

Guánica Lighthouse is a humble building located more than 100 feet above the sea at the entrance of Guánica Bay. The lighthouse features the unique and stately architecture of the late 1800s, and provides a window into Puerto Rico’s past.

Fuerte Caprón (Capron Fortress)

The Capron Fortress provides history and an opportunity for adventure. Located on a three-mile trail within the Guanica Dry Forest, you can hike through the forest to experience the island’s natural beauty before viewing one of the Caribbean’s most important former military outposts.
